The Koblimahagu Zuo community in Tamale woke up to tragedy on Monday morning.
Three children, aged three, five, and eight, who had been missing since Saturday were found dead inside a parked vehicle.
Their disappearance had prompted a frantic search and a public appeal for information. Instead of a reunion, the community found heartbreak.
The circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unclear. What is known is that the vehicle owner has been taken into police custody to assist with investigations.
According to the Assembly Member for the area, Seidu Fuseini, the owner claims he had locked all the doors before leaving the vehicle.
Mohammed Juuna, a relative of one of the deceased, shared the devastating news on social media, stating the children were found trapped inside the stationary vehicle.

The bodies have been conveyed to the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.
As police investigate, a community is left grappling with grief and unanswered questions.
