by Creative Network

The Tema Regional Police Command has dealt a significant blow to armed robbery networks operating in the industrial enclave, following the arrest of six suspects linked to two major warehouse heists.

The first incident dates back to May 25, 2026, when a fertilizer depot in Kpone was attacked, and 751 bags of organic fertilizer, valued at over GH¢ 431,000, were stolen.

Barely three weeks later, on June 14, 2026, armed robbers again struck, this time at Mummy’s Recipe Warehouse in Tema Community One, making off with an estimated 2,000 bags of Aaba Rice and other provisions.

In a statement released today, police disclosed that through meticulous intelligence gathering, stolen items were tracked to storage facilities within the Tema area, ultimately leading to the arrest of Akala Kudus, Shaibu Dauda, Abdul Rahman Moro, Giya Hudu, Razak Seidu, and Francis Ayinsabga.

Authorities have so far recovered 717 bags of rice and 600 bags of fertilizers, all of which have been impounded as exhibits.

The six suspects remain in detention as investigations continue, with police vowing to track down additional accomplices and recover outstanding loot.
