Man Loses Finger in Akyem Oda Machete Fight

A terrifying open street fight in Akyem Oda’s New Station Area has left one man with a severed finger, another with a slashed hand, and a community on edge.

The Eastern South Regional Police Command moved in after a shocking viral video exposed young men brutally attacking each other with sharp cutlasses in broad daylight.

Calm has since been restored.

In the aftermath, two suspects were tracked down to hospital emergency wards.

One of them, 30-year-old George Okyere, had a deep gash on his forehead, and his right finger was completely chopped off.

The other, Paul Pascalele, was nursing a deep cut on his right hand.

But the plot thickens: a third suspect, Evans Adayele, was nabbed while hiding. Police say he’s now talking. Meanwhile, a manhunt is on for the remaining attackers, who will face the full weight of the law.

The update was issued by DSP David Fianko-Okyere, Public Affairs Unit, Eastern South Regional Command.
