“Helping Others Has Always Been Part of Me” — Dr. Likee on Mentoring Young Talents

by Creative Network

Popular Ghanaian comedian and actor Dr. Likee has opened up about his work ethic and his deep-seated passion for mentoring emerging talents in the creative industry.

In an interview on DayBreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the skit maker revealed that whenever he is not on set shooting, he spends his time indoors learning and planning future scripts.

He stressed that continuous learning and preparation are essential for staying relevant and delivering quality content.

Beyond personal development, Dr. Likee said he actively supports young, talented skit makers who are performing well but lack visibility.

“Whenever I’m not shooting, I’m learning and planning, and I also reach out to young talents to encourage them because sometimes all they need is confidence,” he explained.

He noted that many gifted individuals struggle with self-belief, and recognition from established figures can serve as a powerful motivator.

Dr. Likee further disclosed that his generosity did not begin with fame. Even before entering the acting industry, he was already supporting between 30 and 50 people.

He emphasized that helping others comes naturally to him, especially when he identifies genuine talent.

While he does not expect gratitude in return, he said he is pleased that those he has supported continue to show him respect.
