Police Arrest Woman in Viral Video for Unauthorized Wearing of Police Uniform

The Inspector General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team has arrested a woman seen in a viral video wearing a Ghana Police Service uniform.

The suspect, identified as Esther Obasi, was featured in a widely circulated social media video wearing official Police camouflage gear and a standard black Police uniform.

Preliminary investigations revealed a link between Obasi and a serving Police officer, who was subsequently invited to assist with inquiries.

During questioning, the officer stated that he had given the suspect the uniforms to wash for him.

Esther Obasi remains in Police custody as investigations continue.
