Four Burnt to Death in Head-on Collision at Anyinasin Junction

Four people are dead, burnt beyond recognition, after a head-on collision caused a fire at Anyinasin Junction in the Eastern Region.

The crash happened just before six am on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 morning between a Hyundai Mighty truck and a Man Diesel trailer.

Eyewitnesses say the trailer veered off its lane and hit the oncoming truck, triggering a fire that quickly consumed both vehicles.

A female survivor is in the hospital, while three others from the trailer escaped unhurt.

Firefighters arrived within minutes but could not save the four victims trapped inside the Hyundai truck.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The Ghana National Fire Service is urging motorists to strictly follow road safety rules.
