Fire Destroys Vehicle Spare Parts Warehouse at Bubuashie–Atico

A warehouse used for storing vehicle spare parts was completely gutted by fire on Saturday evening at Bubuashie–Atico, near the SDA Church.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) received a distress call at 4:26 p.m. on April 11, 2026. Four fire tenders were promptly deployed from the Industrial Area, Circle, National Headquarters, and Dansoman Fire Stations.

The first crew, from the Industrial Area Fire Station, arrived at the scene by 4:40 p.m., led by ADO I Eugene Opoku.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control at 7:16 p.m. and fully extinguished it by 9:08 p.m.

Despite their efforts, the warehouse and all its contents were destroyed.

One firefighter sustained injuries during the operation and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

However, adjoining structures were successfully salvaged.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the GNFS.
