A two-storey apartment building, reportedly owned by Prophet Daniel Obinim, widely known as Angel Obinim, was partially destroyed by fire on Thursday morning in the Adentan Municipality.
The blaze broke out around mid-morning on April 9, 2026, starting on the upper floor before spreading to other sections of the structure, according to witnesses.
Three fire tenders from the Adenta, Madina, and University of Ghana fire stations were swiftly deployed to the scene.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) are working to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent properties.
ADOI Isaac Kwadwo Opoku, speaking from the scene, confirmed that efforts to fully extinguish the fire are ongoing.
He noted that the cause remains unknown and that investigations will commence once the blaze is completely under control.
No casualties have been reported, though officials say a full assessment will be conducted to determine the extent of the damage.
