Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu and Deputy Communications Minister Mohammed Adams Sukparu are in stable condition after surviving a serious accident on the Bolgatanga–Tumu Highway on Thursday.
The ministers were en route to the Upper West Region for official engagements, including the 40th anniversary celebrations of Tumu and Jahan Colleges of Education, when the incident occurred.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Education, all members of the convoy are safe and receiving medical care, with no life-threatening injuries reported.
“All members of the convoy are currently in stable condition and receiving the required medical care,” the Ministry confirmed.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the crash.
The Ministry extended its gratitude to emergency responders, health workers, and bystanders who provided immediate assistance at the scene.
