Two Injured in Truck Accident on Accra–Kumasi Highway

Two men sustained injuries in a road traffic accident involving a DAF truck at Kyekyewere on the Accra–Kumasi Highway on the evening of April 10, 2026.

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Suhum Municipal Fire Station received a distress call and promptly deployed a seven-member team to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that no one was trapped inside the vehicle, but two male casualties were recorded.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a burst rear tyre caused the truck to veer off the road into a ditch, leading to significant damage to the front of the vehicle.

The injured were attended to at the scene. Authorities continue to monitor the situation.
