A violent collision between a Kia Rhino and a MAN Diesel truck on the Accra–Kumasi Highway has claimed one life and left five others nursing injuries.
Firefighters from Suhum Municipal Station rushed to the scene on Tuesday to find a victim trapped in the wreckage.
Using specialized extrication tools, they successfully freed the individual, who was immediately conveyed to Suhum Government Hospital.
A male pedestrian, however, succumbed to injuries sustained after being knocked down in the melee. Both vehicles were heavily damaged.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by authorities. Updates to follow as more details emerge.
