GNFS Contains Domestic Fire Near Suhum Fire Station

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has contained a domestic fire that broke out near the Suhum Municipal Fire Station on April 7.

The fire started when a gas stove caught fire while a woman was cooking.

A team of firefighters led by ADO II Ocansey Bright responded swiftly, preventing the blaze from spreading and causing further damage.

The crew arrived at the scene at 6:03 p.m., brought the fire under control by 6:12 p.m., and fully extinguished it at 6:18 p.m.

No casualties were reported. Firefighters managed to salvage two bedrooms, a hall, and several gas cylinders.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
