In a bid to bolster emergency response capabilities in the West Mamprusi Municipality, operational staff from the Walewale Fire Station have completed a rigorous two-day training programme on Road Traffic Collision (RTC) management.

The specialised in-service training, which concluded on Thursday, 18th June 2026, was hosted at the Fire Academy and Training School (FATS) in Wungu.

The curriculum was designed to equip firefighters with advanced proficiency in modern hydraulic extrication equipment and cutting-edge rescue techniques.

Throughout the intensive sessions, personnel engaged in practical drills focused on scene safety, the strategic deployment of life-saving tools, and coordinated victim extraction methods.

The exercises aimed to minimise response times and enhance the survival rates of accident victims through efficient, professional handling of complex vehicular entanglements.

At the close of the programme, the participating officers expressed their appreciation to the Academy’s instructors and the Walewale Municipal Command for the collaborative initiative.

They affirmed that the newly acquired skills would significantly improve their operational readiness and professionalism when responding to emergencies within the West Mamprusi Municipality and its surrounding areas.
