16,000 Newly Trained Teachers to be Recruited – Prez Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has approved the recruitment of 16,000 newly trained teachers to clear the backlog of unemployed graduates.

The announcement was made during an inspection of the nearly completed 1,500-capacity multipurpose assembly hall at Peki College of Education.

During the visit on Thursday, Mahama noted that the assembly hall project, initiated under his previous administration, has resumed after years of inactivity and is now nearing completion, with furniture delivery expected within the month before official commissioning.

He also reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to improving infrastructure and accommodation across colleges of education, and encouraged students to strive for excellence.
