World Cup 2026: Ghana meets England, Croatia, and Panama in Group L

Ghana’s Black Stars have been drawn into a challenging Group L for the 2026 World Cup with England, Croatia, and Panama. The draw took place in Washington on December 5, 2025.
Qualifying for their fifth World Cup, Ghana faces a difficult path.

However, a new tournament format for 2026 increases their chances: 32 teams (up from 16) will advance from the group stage.
Ghana can progress by finishing in the top two of their group or by being among the best eight third-place teams.
Ghana’s World Cup history includes a Round of 16 exit in their 2006 debut, a famous quarter-final run in 2010, and group-stage exits in 2014 and 2022.
The new format has made fans optimistic about their chances of advancing this time. The final match schedule will be announced on December 6, 2025.
