The Ghana Police Service has dismantled a human trafficking syndicate in Ho, arresting seven suspects and rescuing forty-eight victims in a major intelligence-led operation.

The crackdown, executed on January 8th and 10th, targeted locations on Fiave Dablah Ayekple Street, Ho CK Road, and Somey Junction.

The arrested individuals are Emmanuel Asiamah, Frimpong Jerry, Paul Mensah, Bismark Perry, Vida Gefah, Ebenezer Kwabena Owusu, and Prince Kaku.

Authorities report that the victims, predominantly young adults and students, were lured with false promises of overseas travel and subsequently held under coercive and deceptive conditions.

During searches, police uncovered critical evidence including official receipts issued to victims after illicit payments were collected for purported visa processing.

Assorted documents linked to broader fraudulent activities were also seized.

All seven suspects are in custody and assisting with the ongoing investigation. Police are now working to contact the families of the rescued victims and are pursuing other syndicate members who remain at large.

In a statement, the Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the public and dismantling organized criminal networks engaged in fraud and human trafficking.
