President John Dramani Mahama has officially sworn in Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong as the substantive Chief Fire Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service, and Samuel Basintale Amadu as the Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service.
The ceremony, held at the Presidency, formally inaugurated the two officials into their new leadership roles.
As Chief Fire Officer, Ntow Sarpong will be responsible for overseeing fire prevention strategies, public safety education, and national emergency response operations.
In his new capacity, Samuel Basintale Amadu will take charge of border security, migration control, and the enforcement of immigration laws.
President Mahama urged both appointees to carry out their duties with professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to national service.
Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong was appointed as Chief Fire Officer on March 24, 2025, becoming the first woman in history to hold the position.
Before her appointment, she served as Deputy Chief Fire Officer and Director of Fire Safety, where she earned recognition for her dedication and leadership.
Samuel Basintale Amadu was also appointed as Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service in March 2025.
