Apostle Lilian Aryeequaye (née Owusu), widow of the late MP John Kumah, has described her first meeting with her new husband as a divine answer to prayer.
Speaking at a Thanksgiving service after their wedding, Mrs. Aryeequaye recounted meeting him unexpectedly while at church on business.
“I had never met him before,” she said. “It was love at first sight the moment he saw me.”

Reflecting on her journey through grief, she explained she resolved not to be confined by sorrow.
“I prayed and made up my mind to move forward. When you are crying, God gives you something to wipe your tears,” she shared.

After the first anniversary of her late husband’s passing, she and her pastors began a period of prayer and fasting, specifically asking God for a companion.
“We prayed for a father, a man to comfort me, my children, and my mother. God listened,” she said.
She was careful to clarify that her new husband does not replace the late MP but supports her in continuing life’s journey.

Her decision, she said, was inspired by his bold, hardworking, and visionary character.
Her testimony moved congregants, who joined her in giving thanks for healing and new hope.
