Ghana is set to host the biggest entreprenurship festival in November. The Global Entrepreneurship Festival (GEF), a landmark event that will highlight the nation’s dynamic innovation and startup landscape.
Officials have expressed pride in Ghana’s selection, calling it a testament to the country’s rapid entrepreneurial advancement and commitment to digital transformation.
The festival, which will take place from 21st to 23rd November is expected to draw over 10,000 attendees from more than 70 countries, will feature over 100 exhibitors at the La Plam Royal Beach Hotel in Accra. It will serve as a convergence point for venture capitalists, global investors, tech pioneers, and industry leaders seeking partnerships with Ghana’s most promising startups and innovators.
Beyond elevating Ghana’s profile as a hub for innovation, the event is poised to unlock substantial investment opportunities, providing local entrepreneurs with access to funding, mentorship, and international markets.
Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, Samuel Nartey George at the briefing, underscored the broader socio-economic benefits, including boosted tourism, job creation, and enhanced global collaboration.
“This festival will attract top-tier investors and business leaders eager to engage with Ghana’s brightest minds and most innovative startups,” he said.
“It’s a unique opportunity to accelerate growth and solidify our position on the global entrepreneurial stage,” he fearther noted.
The 2025 Global Entrepreneurship Festival is set to be a transformative platform, fostering connections that could shape the future of Africa’s startup ecosystem.
The GEF name renowned media personality and business leader Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, widely known as Bola Ray, as its Country Board Chair for Ghana ahead of the festival.
Bola Ray, the Chief Executive of EIB Network and founder of Empire Ghana, brings a distinguished track record in media, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment to the role.
The GEF team highlighted his appointment, stating: “Bola Ray’s visionary leadership and deep commitment to fostering African entrepreneurship make him the ideal choice. His expertise aligns with our mission to inspire, connect, and transform the future of entrepreneurship across the continent.”
