Foursquare Ghana re-elects Rev. Dr. Francis Sey as General Overseer

The Foursquare Gospel Church in Ghana has re-elected Rev. Dr. Francis Sey as the General Overseer to stir the church’s affairs for the next five years.

As the church makes its 50th anniversary in Ghana, the Global President of the Foursquare Church, Rev. Randy Remington and other international leaders visited Ghana to celebrate with the church as part of its annual year convention dubbed Divine Connection.

The Victory and Induction Service held at the Foursquare City in Mataheko, among other activities, saw the Global President pouring blessings unto the re-elected servant and his family ahead of the task in the coming years.

Speaking to CN News Online, Rev. Dr. Francis Sey assured the church of continuous service with God’s guidance and direction.

“The church should expect a leader who is ready to serve, one who will look up to God for guidance and direction and a leader who will trust God for courage to lead the way for God’s glory.”

He noted that the church, in the past 50 years, has been a significant denomination in the country, playing a vital role in the economical body of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), raising leaders, impacting lives and playing significant roles in our society.

“The church has been in the forefront of the charismatic renewal in Ghana from 1974 birthing many churches,” he noted.

“In the coming years, the church seeks to be more relevant in communities by expanding the Gospel of Christ, Rev Sey added.”
